I’m Paweł, a certified SGO guide, and I’m the one behind most of what you read on this site.
Snowmobiles, motorcycles and local history are what I get genuinely excited about, and if you let me, I will talk for hours about the mines of Spitsbergen: who dug them, why they closed, and what is still standing up in the valleys.
The Arctic is my second home
My wife Kasia and I founded MyArctic, and we live half of our lives in Longyearbyen, in the rhythm of the polar night and 24-hour daylight. That is long enough to know every rock, every whim of the weather and the most beautiful, hidden corners of the archipelago.
It also means we know how to show you the best of Spitsbergen: safely, authentically, and far from mass, established tourism.
The other half of the year
The rest of my year looks nothing like this. I spent two decades in digital marketing and adtech, most recently as CEO of Takeads, and I still lecture at Lazarski University in Warsaw. I was voted the #1 European Affiliate Voice, which is a strange thing to have on the same CV as a rifle licence.
The two worlds overlap more than people expect. Reading a glacier for crevasses and reading a market for risk use the same muscle: gather the data, respect what you cannot control, decide early, and be willing to turn back. That is the mindset I bring to every expedition we run.
Financial security
MyArctic AS is a licensed Norwegian company based in Svalbard. We are an official member of the Norwegian Tourism Guarantee Fund (RFG) and of Visit Svalbard. This means you are 100% legally protected, and we operate according to the highest, rigorous standards of the Norwegian tourism industry.
